Intro post

Hey, I'm Jamie. I also go by Skankin Garbage at Shoryuken and on GGPO. When Vampire Savior first became available on GGPO, I was pretty captivated by it. I'd played it a little by that point, but only in 1-Player mode. Still, I knew I wanted to be awesome at it, so I trained with some of the excellent American players, accompanied with the top-level Japanese players that would frequent GGPO, and became one of the best.

I played J.Talbain, and have received tons of flak for it from newcomers and skilled veterans alike. They all said, "Talbain is scrubby" and "Talbain is so easy to play". Well...that's pretty much the truth (even though I was always able to beat those people, so I have no idea what that says for them). However, to be truly excellent with any character takes some hard work, and if you think that's false...you're probably playing a shitty game, and you should protest it by not playing it.

For the rest of you that agree, I've made this blog to write down my thoughts, so maybe you all - and myself - could learn from them. Hopefully, should I ever grow tired of VS, I'll at least have an excellent compilation of info about Talbain to leave behind - hopefully, the most thorough and helpful set of info you can find in English.
